To override the pop up blocking action, hold the Control (Ctrl) key down when you click on a link until the new window opens.

The "pop-up windows" used on this site are there to make navigation of the site easier, and because we wanted to control the size of the window for cosmetic reasons.

We do not use pop ups to keep you on our site or force advertisers on you.

General Navigation Tips

  • PITA's main pages—The main features of the Web site, including General information about us, our contests and publications, are all accessible through the links in the left-hand frame.
  • Our interactive features—Musings (our forum), and AddAVerse are linked from our "Home" page.
  • PITA's resources pages—The most extensive, thoughtfully edited and best maintained online can be opened by clicking here, or on the Poetry Resources link in the left-hand frame of the home page. Opening the resources section from the home page will open the navigation links for the section in the left-hand frame, and the main page in the right hand frame. It's like opening a whole new Web site.
    • To navigate back to the main site from the resources section, click on the PITA Home link in the left-hand frame.
    • The Learning Resources, Teacher Resources, and Youth Resources pages each have a i-fame in the main page where the links to the sections for each resource are. Most of these links will open in the same frame. The links in each section to the various Web sites will each open in a new window.
    • To navigate back to the index of links to the sections from each section of resources, use the back button on your browser.
