Arrangements for small wind turbines operating at the Spanish Antarctic Station (SAS) have undergone recent changes.

Three wind turbines were up and running until recently, a Bornay 3000 and two other brands. At the start of the latest campaign, however, we found one of our wind turbines in pieces all over the ground. It was completely destroyed. Sadly, it had not lived up to expectations, lasting just one and a half years at the SAS.

To replace this wind turbine, we assembled another Bornay 3000 that had been kept at the station as a spare.

Up to now, the Bornay 3000 has given us the best results we have had from all our wind turbines tried at the SAS (both in mechanical terms and at regulator level) and I am sure that the assembled Bornay machines are going to give us many years ahead without any serious problems.

You can be proud of your products. They work really well!
