Business recognition

Bornay's extensive history has seen the firm obtain recognition of its business evolution and its contribution to the environment. Awards have come in too for its track record in business leadership and its commitment to innovation.

1. NOVA Award. Environment

Bestowed in 2001 by the Department of Innovation of the Valencian Generalitat, the prize recognised Bornay's environmental efforts. This highlighted both the production of windturbines and the bioclimatic nature of our HQ's architecture, which is designed to be totally self-sufficient in energy.

2. Sol y Paz Award. Business leadership track record.

Presented in 2001 by the Terra Foundation, this marked Bornay's track record as business leaders. The Sol and Paz prizes recognise work in solidarity, staffing, collective and educational attitudes, business leadership, solar cooking, and good solar practice.

3. Nominations for Prince Felipe Award for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency; and the Prince Felipe Award for Business Competitiveness (Small and Medium Sized Companies).

The company was nominated for the Prince Felipe Award for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency and the Prince Felipe Award for Business Competitiveness in 2007. The nominees included some huge firms, the awards being scooped, respectively, by Abengoa Bioenergía and Matalquimia.
