INTERSOLAR EUROPE 2017

31 / 05 / 17 - 02 / 06 / 17

Intersolar Europe is the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry and its partners. It takes place annually at the Messe München exhibition center in Munich, Germany and focuses on the areas of photovoltaics, energy storage, wind energy and renewable heating, as well as on products and solutions for smart renewable energy. The accompanying Intersolar Europe Conference consolidates selected exhibition topics and showcases large-scale power stations, financing and intelligent networks. Since being founded 26 years ago, Intersolar Europe has become the most important industry platform for manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, service providers and partners in the global solar industry.

ees Europe, Europe’s largest exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems, takes place in conjunction with Intersolar Europe. The ees Europe is covering the entire value chain of innovative battery and energy storage technologies.

Intersolar and ees Europe 2017 will present also on 2017 edition the “Wind meets solar and storage” platform to show the fields of wind, solar and storage at the same time and in the same location.

In paralel to Intersolar, the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA) and Intersolar Europe are pleased to invite the small and medium wind stakeholders as well as the Solar PV and Energy Storage industry to participate in the World Small Wind Conference (WSWC2017), taking place on 1 and 2 June 2017.

The main theme of the conference is Small Wind & Solar Hybrid Systems – Key to a self-sufficient energy future. The conference is aimed at jointly exploring the current status and future developments of the wind & solar hybrid technology as well as to present new innovative business models that could exploit the market of self-supply electricity.

Bornay will be present at World Small Wind Conference (WSWC2017) with Mr. Juande Bornay as speaker on Panel "Small Wind Technology: Current Trends and Challenges" that takes place on June 1:

14:00 – Measured power curve performance comparison of 6 small wind turbines at consumer sites of different physical complexities and wind regimes – Raymond Byrne, Centre for Renewables & Energy, Dundalk Institute of Technology, Ireland

14:25 – Evaluation of the influencing quantities of oscillations and vibrations of small-wind-turbines (SWT) and its reduction – Alexander Hirschl, UAS Technikum Vienna, Austria

14:50 – In-service behaviour of building mounted small wind turbines – Mauro Peppoloni, UAS Technikum Vienna, Austria

15:30 – Bornay Wind+: a new approach on SWT’s control electronics – Juande Bornay, Bornay, Spain

15:55 – Small wind…not all turbines are the same – Dr. Salvo Presta, Ergycon, Italy

16:20 – Computer-aided design of a small wind power system with combined rotors – Prof. Victor Syneglazov, National Aviation University, Ukraine

16:45 – Simulations of Savonius Rotors using OpenFOA – Federico González, Faculty of Engineering-UdelaR, Uruguay
